Here is a super easy and affordable tutorial to make your own pretty DIY Gemstone Necklace. Only a few supplies are needed to make this trendy craft.
Supplies Needed to Make a DIY Gemstone Necklace:
- Needle-nosed pliers
- Necklace Chain with Clasp
- Strand of Stone Beads (choose your favorite colors)
- Beading Wire
All supplies can be found at Michaels. Pro tip: The best stone beads for this DIY Gemstone Necklace are from Micheals brand “Bead Landing”. The ones used in this tutorial come strung on a long wire with about nine beads per pack.
Step 1: Start by using your wire-cutters to snip a length of wire about four inches long.
Step 2: Select four or five of the stone beads and string them onto the wire through the pre-drilled bead holes.
Step 3: After you have all your beads on the wire, begin to curl one side of the wire into a loop towards the beads.
Step 4: Bend the wire all the way around to create a full loop. Play with this part a little bit to get a good tight circle in your wire, right up against the beads.
Step 5: Once the loop is made, use your wire-cutter to snip off the excess wire tail.
Step 6: Form another wire loop on the other side of the beads, and again, cut off the excess wire.
Step 7: Your final pendent should look something like this!
Step 8: String your pendent onto the chain through both of the loops you created and give yourself a round of applause! You have just made a super pretty DIY Gemstone Necklace!
